As a busy mom of 3 I really appreciate recipes that do not take up a lot of time to make and are also kid approved and healthy. These chicken skewers with creamy turmeric dip totally fit the bill and were a big hit on live TV!

I arrived to the studio early in the morning and quickly set up my set to go live!
I then went live explaining how to make this incredibly easy creamy turmeric dip to go along with chicken skewers. I shared why Protein is so important: Protein has been trending for a while now, and it’s not going anywhere. Paleo and Keto diets that require high protein intake were popular last year and remain to be a strong food trend this year. The appeal is that a high-protein diet leaves dieters feeling full throughout the day and ultimately eating less. High-protein snacks and meals allow for a fuller stomach, for longer periods of time.
Why Turmeric is so popular this year: One popular spice this year is turmeric. Turmeric is an anti-inflammatory as well as a strong antioxidant. Turmeric is a herb that has been used in India for thousands of years and has very strong medicinal properties.
- 1 cup plain lowfat yogurt
- 1 tablespoon lowfat milk
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar (use stevia to make it keto friendly)
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, ground
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
- chicken skewers, cooked and ready to serve
- Mix all ingredients in a medium bowl until blended.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve.
