Today, I am using items from my yard…PINECONES! I thought that it would be super fun to make scented pinecones to go inside my house for this big chili cook-off I am hosting! So, in the process of cleaning up our yard (guys, it was still a construction zone from the demo/rebuild of our house…and I have legit put in over 40 hours trying to clean it up) I grabbed a few handfuls of pinecones and repurposed them!

Supplies:
- Pinecones
- Essential oils – I used doTerra Harvest Spice and Wild Orange

Time needed: 30 minutes
How To Make Scented Pinecones
- Find and gather pinecones
- Bake pinecones in oven
Place pinecones on a baking sheet. Bake at 200° F for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool completely
- Add essential oils
Place cooled pinecones in a large ziplock baggy and add 20 drops of your favorite essential oil. Close baggy and shake until all of the pinecones are coated with essential oil
They smell amazing!!! You have definitely got to try making these on your own! Use whatever essential oils you have!
