What is Sangria?
A Spanish inspired drink that usually contains red whine and chopped fruit. In my opinion, it’s a great way to stretch a bottle of wine for more people. It also makes a great party punch or holiday drink. You can make it with alcohol or use a non-alcoholic wine. I also have a see-through white wine sangria as an alternative to red wine sangria.
If wine isn’t your thing, this lime sherbet punch may be just what you’re looking for!
We had plans to have some friends over for dinner (I made killer Slow Cooker Mexican Carnitas!) and wanted to pair it with a nice drink besides beer (gag). So I bought a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon and some fruit and put together this fruity sangria. Unfortunately our friends got sick – so the more for Lover Boy and I.
To be truthful, I’m not really a fan of alcohol so I wasn’t really sure if I would like this. But in truth, it was really good. The cabernet sauvignon made it have a thicker taste and the fruit made it sweet. A pretty good mixture!
