This make ahead homemade pancake mix in a mason jar are perfect for busy mornings, gifts and camping! Once made they are the most fluffy, delicious pancakes ever!
My kids love pancakes. In fact, that’s the breakfast request most mornings,. While pancakes are super easy to make, they aren’t always that quick, especially because I only ever make homemade pancakes. Back in 2014 I shared my college roommate’s mom’s recipe for the very best pancakes. I’m taking that same tried and true recipe and just simplifying things!

I’m not the most organized person these days, and I usually fly by the seat of my pants. But…every now and then I get these random bursts of genius to help simplify my life! The genius idea for the day was putting the dry pancake ingredients into Mason jars and storing them in my pantry for those busy mornings!

Ingredients – for 1 Mason jar (makes around 10-12 pancakes)
- 1 1/4 c flour
- 1 tbs sugar
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
Place all dry ingredients in a Mason jar. Seal tight. Store until ready to use.
Print this free printable I’ve made on cardstock and tie it to the Mason jar filled with the dry pancake ingredients with twine. Store in your pantry for those busy mornings, or pack for your next camping adventure or gift to a friend or teacher!
Making The Batter and Pancakes
When you’re ready to make the pancakes, add all of the contents of the Mason jar in a large mixing bowl. Add wet ingredients and spoon onto a hot skillet with melted butter. Flip to cook both sides. Serve immediately with butter, syrup or fruit preserves.
