Snowshoeing | Gathered In The Kitchen

Random thoughts on a freezing cold Saturday Wisconsin morning…

  1. I finally took down all of our indoor Christmas decorations this week – which may have already been “down” for the past two weeks sitting in piles all around my house waiting for me to take it back up to the attic. ?

You can see how I store my holiday garland HERE!

2. I shared a before and after tutorial of the $9 table I bought and it has become my 2nd most liked post ever on Instagram! Yep, I’m pretty proud of that!

3. Gathered In The Kitchen celebrated it’s 11th birthday this past week! I truly am so thankful for all of you who have followed along with me over the years and let me share all of my ideas, recipes, and projects with you!

4. My parents gifted my family each a pair of snowshoes for Christmas this year and I’ve had fun trying them out on the Ice Age trail that runs 1,200 miles through Wisconsin, through glacially landscaped terrain. It’s absolutely gorgeous – despite being so cold!

This Week On Gathered In The Kitchen

Over on the blog this week, I shared about my new Vitamix blender that my hubby surprised (well…I may have found it) for Christmas and how I made smoothies and homemade pizza sauce with it for our homemade pizza night! We had homemade pizza dough and homemade cauliflower pizza crust (a great alternative for gluten-free eating!)

  1. Do you have any ideas for $tree candy cane forms. I thought putting it sideways to make a cute winter toboggan but not sure what to wrap it with ? The vertical bars could be twine or brown fake leather. I also have a problem moving the small pop up (How to make a wood sign won’t skip in 5) just stays frozen

    1. Hi Mo, I’m getting ready to use 2 Dollar Tree candy candy wreath forms to make a heart and turn it into a Valentine’s Day wreath!
