Recipe Inspiration
For Christmas one year, my hubby surprised me with a Vitamix A3500 blender! I may or may not have stumbled upon it in a hiding spot before Christmas … ha! Turns out we both decided to hide presents in the same pile of clothes! I think it goes to say, great minds think alike! LOL!
The Vitamix sure came in handy when we did a 7 day cleanse to kick off the new year. I was able to make smoothies , soups and even hummus! At the conclusion of our cleanse, we decided to have a homemade pizza night! I made homemade pizza dough for the kiddos and homemade cauliflower pizza dough for my hubby and I.
We topped our pizzas with this quick and easy homemade pizza sauce, made effortlessly in the Vitamix. This no-sugar pizza sauce is a staple in our kitchen—tried, tested, and family-approved—and I know you’ll love it just as much!

Ingredients for the Best Homemade Pizza Sauce (No Sugar Added!)
- tomato paste – this is sold typically in two different containers. In a tube or in a can. Depending on how much tomato paste I need for a recipe, dictates how which type of container I buy
- tomatoes – fresh, on the vine tomatoes work best for this sauce
- garlic – fresh cloves
- basil – if you’re able to find fresh basil, go that route, if not, swap it out for dried basil
- onion – I always use sweet onions, it helps cut the acidity of the tomatoes
- extra virgin olive oil – I prefer “smooth” rather than “robust” for a lighter taste
- oregano – dried oregano is fine! If you have fresh, go ahead and use that instead
