Coffee Chat #4
Random thoughts on a Saturday morning…
February is flying by! Heck, 2021 is flying by! Although, I still have “winter” decor up on both the inside and outside of my house – I feel like I have earned a pass this year since we weren’t living in our home last year.
The weather here in Wisconsin sure has been a rollercoaster! It’s snowing one minute, warm and melting the next {by warm I mean in the 30s…lol! but people are legit out in t-shirts!} and then freezing the next! I can’t keep up! So, aside from our almost daily walks with the dogs, I’ve been hunkering down inside and working on a few super fun projects!
If you find yourself in similar shoes, or snow boots, or rain rain boots…or even flip flops! you may enjoy these 6 home projects you can do inside {during winter!} that will help spruce up your home that I just shared!

Projects This Week
This week I shared a live tutorial on how to make a bunny-themed wreath using Dollar Tree materials! ? I love quick crafts that don’t cost a lot and can be completed in less than an hour!
I also have been working on my laundry room! When I say it was a disaster…I mean it WAS A DISASTER! You honestly had to blindly feel for the dryer power button because the dryer had so much stuff piled up on it. I’m hoping to wrap things up with it this weekend {pending all of my items are delivered!} but here’s a sneak peek at what I’m doing… ahhh! I’m so excited!

If you are on Instagram, I’ve started sharing a lot more on that platform! … especially in the stories feature. I’d love to have you follow along and share a lot of the behind the scenes with you! You can follow me at @gatheredinthekitchen – not on Instagram? No worries! I share all of the stories on Facebook as well! Be sure to follow and click “get notifications” for every time I post something new!
I Was Featured!
On Saturday, one of my most viewed DIY projects was shared with the community over at Hometalk!
Which post do you think it is? The barn door or the pencil sign? I’ll tell you at the end of this email! 🙂 Click below to see the tutorial for each!

I’ve been answering a lot of furniture related questions lately, so I figured it was time to share some oldies but good furniture makeovers! This paint pour dresser is funky, but it was so much fun to make!

But I know this style is wild!!! So if you’re looking for a more subtle way to makeover some furniture you have around your home, here are some safer, more neutral makeover options along with the type of paint I use for all furniture makeovers!
Don’t Forget Dinner!
Wow!! Surprisingly all of these shares were DIY related! No recipes! Yikes! Let’s fix that…here’s one of my favorite recipes of all time that I made and shared this week … that literally cooked itself while I was busy deciding on paint colors, etc. Crock Pot Beef Sandwiches! OMG are they good! You can serve them on a roll with melted provolone and giardiniera or you can shred the beef and serve it on top of mashed potatoes…I honestly am not sure which way is more my favorite, I literally love it both ways! Never the less, you will thank me for this easy recipe that doesn’t’ have you spending hours in the kitchen…more time for DIYing!!

….which post was it?
It was the DIY Pencil Sign!! Yes!! It was featured on Hometalk and shared with all of their readers! 🙂
Happy Saturday friends!!! Have a wonderful weekend!
