Winter is definitely upon us…and it’s COLD!
I don’t know about you, but I spend most of my day freezing cold! I live in Wisconsin and the weather here in winter is super cold! Take today for instance…it was only 1° F when I took my kiddos to school this morning! In fact, I’m writing this blog post with a hat on my head!
To help take off the chill, especially in the evenings, I like to warm up with a hot bowl of soup…that has been simmering on the stove all day making my house smell like I really have my act together! bahaha! #soupcandle

I never used to be bothered by the cold the way I am now…I blame it on 1. old age 2. living in the south for almost 14 years has totally ruined me! I mean, let’s be honest. Who LEAVES the south to move back to the freezing cold? We definitely are backward! On the days that are bone-chilling cold, I’m ready to pack my bags and head to Florida with all the blue hairs and stay!
Then…on the other hand, my husband is in his glory in the cold! While I sit inside, cuddled up with 10 blankets I watch him play outside in the snow with our never ending energy Austrian Shepherd 1 year old! He spends so much time out there that when he comes inside, he has icicles hanging from his beard!
But anywho…enough about my issues with the cold. Let’s warm up with my favorite five soups that help keep me warm in the winter!…and that my family loves!
