Transform a metal pizza pan from Dollar Tree into a DIY chalkboard wreath door hanger for fall with chalkboard paint, ribbon and chalk!
You all know I love making wreaths from Dollar Tree supplies. First off, there are way more Dollar Trees around than Hobby Lobby’s, Michael’s Crafts, Joanne’s, etc – especially for me! Where I live in Wisconsin, I have a shortage of craft stores, but I do have Dollar Tree! So I find myself visiting often to buy supplies for simple and easy crafts!
I love taking random items and giving them a totally different “perspective” on life, transforming them into something that they clearly were not meant to be. Like these rolls of toilet paper turned the cutest farmhouse pumpkin decor, or mixing glue and water for decoupage wooden pumpkin decor or another pizza pan wreath I made recently for Back-to-School! There’s just something so fun about getting crafty!
The best part about wreath making is, there is no right or wrong. You don’t need to be overly crafty or creative to make a beautiful wreath! It’s really just about the basics: a base, a theme, filler items like flowers, and a bow…always a bow!
- Pizza pan
- chalkboard paint
- foam paint brush
- wired ribbon
- artificial flowers
- mini pinecones or pumpkins
- hot glue
- pipe cleaner
Let’s Make It Together!
I love how this wreath turned out…such a simple yet inviting welcome sign to add to any door! There’s nothing overly fancy or complicated about this design. It’s easy enough for anyone to make…even for those who don’t consider themselves very crafty!

Change Up The Look!
The best part about this wreath is that the design is so simple and can easily be modified for any holiday or season! Erase the chalk writing and write whatever message you would like. Change the color of the ribbon bow or the flowers and make the wreath for spring or winter!
