Dixie Belle Evergreen & Holly Transfer
I love using paint and furniture transfers! However, there are only so many pieces of painted furniture I can fit into my home! 😂 As a fun alternative to painting and using transfers on furniture, I’ve been having fun making signs that I can place around my home for various occasions or holidays…and then pack them away until the next year! Like my chicken signs in my half bathroom.
My latest DIY project involved making a cute plaque for Christmas using Dixie Belle’s Evergreen & Holly transfer and Drop Cloth chalk paint that I unboxed in my October Unboxing video. The project took about 20 minutes and it turned out absolutely adorable!
Supplies
- Evergreen & Holly transfer
- Dixie Belle chalk paint in color Drop Cloth
- Wood plaque
- Mini angled paint brush
Let’s Make It Together!
Time needed: 20 minutes
How to apply a Dixie Belle transfer to wood
- Paint wooden plaque with chalk paint
- Remove the white paper backing
- Cut out the design you want
Ensure to keep the white paper backing on the transfer
- Position transfer on the plaque and apply
Using the wooden stick compressor in the package, rub all over the transfer, pressing firmly, to ensure the transfer sticks to the wood. Peel back the plastic sheet slowly and carefully
- Remove plastic sheet and gently smooth transfer with hand

I love how this cute plaque turned out! It looks great sitting on my living room mantle!
