The Story Behind These Snowglobe Cupcakes

For several years, I’ve created video footage for Foodtalk Daily. I absolutely love it because the recipes I make are super simple, super trendy and super delicous!

These snow globe cupcakes were one of the videos I created, and seriously, they were just the most adorable cupcakes ever! They reminded me of my melting snowman sugar cookies but required about 1% of the effort! I’ll take this kind of recipe any day of the week during the holidays when I’m scrambling to get everything done!

Easy Snow Globe Cupcakes Using Dollar Tree Finds

What You’ll Need

  • Plastic snow globes from Dollar Tree (the kind with a clear bubble and white screw-on base)
  • Store-bought snowman cupcakes from Walmart bakery
  • Warm soapy water + towel for drying

Step 1: Prep the Snow Globes

Start by washing the plastic snow globes in warm, soapy water and letting them air dry completely. This helps remove any dust or residue before adding your cupcakes.

Step 2: Pick the Perfect Cupcakes

I used the snowman-themed cupcakes from my local grocery store because they already had cute little plastic snowmen on top — perfect for a snow globe look! You can use any cupcake design you like — Christmas trees, reindeer, or even simple frosted cupcakes with sprinkles would all work great.
