Even though my kids are getting older, they still smile (ehh, maybe it’s more like a “mom, you’re pathetic smile??) when I surprise them with food that’s super cute. I know deep down they think it’s fun, but don’t always like to admit it…that’s OK! My life revolves around my kids…and the delusion that they still love and need me the same way they did when they were little smooopie boopie kiddos!
One day when they’re old, and look back on their childhood, they will remember how amazing I was…yes, I may or may not tell that that daily (don’t all good moms do that?) —> I think it’s safe to say, I have officially turned into my own mother…”you’ll thank me and day for __x__”!! HA!!

I made these Nutter Butter Turkey cookies for them one day while they were at school. I will admit, they kind of look like deranged turkeys, but I blame that on the candy eyes!! If the black dots were all the same size, I don’t think they’d look so lazy-eyed! 😂 👁

Regardless of how cuckoo they look, they were DELICIOUS! A perfect blend of salty peanut butter Nutter Butter cookies and pretzels with sweet chocolate…and the cuteness of the Thanksgiving sprinkles! Yum Yum!!!
The older you get, the more you just love food and less picky about how things look! You care more about how things taste!
Let’s Make Them Together!
- Melt milk chocolate baking chips in a glass microwave safe dish, stirring between each 30 second increments (I used these no sugar added milk chocolate baking chips and they were surprisingly good! They helped make these cookies not too sweet)
- Dunk the pretzels in the melted chocolate, allow excess chocolate to drip off. Place on a parchment lined baking sheet. Arrange three tiny pretzels twists in the shape of turkey feathers
- Add one Nutter Butter cookie on top of the pretzels
- Quickly add Thanksgiving pretzels before the chocolate dries
- Using orange colored pre-made cookie icing, pipe on eyes, nose and gobble
- Carefully place the candy eyes and an orange M&M candy (standing up on its side) on the icing
- Place in the refrigerator or freezer to speed up the drying process of the chocolate and icing

So, if you’re feeling a little adventurous, you should definitely try making these cookies yourself! I mean, if nothing else, they are a good laugh!…and a really tasty dessert! Whether you’re baking with kids, surprising your friends, or just looking for a fun holiday treat, these cookies are a guaranteed win!
