The base of the snowman is a homemade sugar cookie made with sour cream! They are super soft and sweet! Similar to a Lofthouse cookie! The frosting is homemade royal icing that I piped onto the cookie. The head of the snowman is a marshmallow.

Don’t be intimidated by the piping of the frosting. I promise, this Royal Frosting recipe I use is not only sooo good, but it’s super easy to work with because it’s thick! Often times, with other recipes, they are too thin and run way too much and make the cookie really messy looking.

And of course if you would rather make a sugar cookie mix instead Krusteaz Sugar Cookies with Pete & Gerry’s Organic Eggs would be a great alternative! You can also buy pre-made frosting in the baking section at any major grocery store.

Enjoy and happy baking to you!
