Growing up my siblings and I only ever helped my mom make desserts in the kitchen. So naturally when I got married the only thing I knew how to cook was cookies! I’ve come a long way since the olden days of simply making chocolate chip cookies and chocolate pudding. Yet one thing still remains the same – I have a mad obsession with chocolate chip cookies. I love love LOVE them!
Over the years I’ve tried tons of recipes. Some are soft, some are crunchy, some are too sugary, some are not sugary enough. Some are too greasy and some are too dry. Some are gross and some are delicious! Luckily for you I’ve spent years searching for the best recipe and I have found it!
I’m so excited to share with you my all-time most favorite recipe that everyone always loves!
They really are super simple to make! Let me show you how to make your own!
Here’s the cast!
In a large mixing bowl cream together butter and sugars.
Add in egg and vanilla. **vanilla can make or break a recipe. I prefer to use pure vanilla extract.
Your mixture will be nice and thick like this!
In a separate bowl mix together flour, baking soda, cornstarch and salt.
Slowly add in the flour mixture to the butter mixture.
With a spatula stir in the chocolate chips.
Using a cookie scooper place your cookies on a cookie sheet about 2″ apart and bake for 8 minutes.
Let cool on a cooling rack and enjoy!
Really, these are the best tasting chocolate chip cookies I have made! They only last a few minutes in my household before they are all devoured!
