Recipe Inspiration

Ever since my kids were little, I’ve bought the glass bottles of sparkling juice for all of the major holidays as a special drink to be served in smaller sized wine glasses that I found at a thrift store years ago. Serving the kids their special drinks in their special glasses was such a fun way to make our holiday dinners more elaborate and fancy.

It’s something my kids still look forward to each and every holiday! (check out this recipe: Christmas Morning Cocktail, non-alcoholic)

This 2 ingredient mocktail is non-alcoholic, which means it’s safe and suitable for kids (and adults) of all ages. They can enjoy a special drink just like the adults without worrying about the content. It’s a great alternative to sugary pops or plain fruit juices, making kids feel more grown-up during holiday meals! Plus it’s a smart alternative for those that are the designated drivers or non-drinkers.

  • These mocktails are fully customizable! You can use whichever flavor sparkling juice you prefer. Some options are: apple, grape, or cranberry.
  • Garnish with some fresh flavor enhancements such as fresh herbs, citrus wedges, or fruit slices or frozen cranberries.

Mocktail Pairings

You can serve these mocktails before the meal and pair them with Keto Friendly Chicken Skewers with Creamy Turmeric Dip, Rainbow Fruit Kabobs, Mini Quiches or frittatas, Grilled Caprese Zucchini Roll-Ups or even a cheese and charcuterie platter!

Once dinner is prepared, serve alongside your main meal! – like Crock-Pot Holiday Ham, Goat Cheese Scalloped Potatoes and Cranberry Jello with Mandarin Oranges and Pecans or Walnuts!

Serving and Presentation

Dress up your special occasion by upping your mocktail presentation! Here are some tips and ideas for presenting the mocktail elegantly:

Glassware:

  • Choose tall, slender glasses such as champagne flutes or highball glasses. Shop second hand thrift stores or antique stores for unique glasses that don’t break the bank!…especially if you will be allowing children to use them!

Ice Cubes:

  • Consider using decorative ice cubes made with fruit juice or edible flowers to add visual appeal and flavor to the mocktail. You can easily make your own ice cubes in a circular ice cube tray for an even prettier presentation! Just be sure to make them the day before so they are good and frozen when you want to use them!

Serve on a Tray:

  • Present the mocktails on a decorative serving tray for a touch of elegance and ease of serving to your guests
