You guys may remember these two projects that I tackled a while ago:

In an effort to keep up with the holiday decor I wanted to do something with hearts for Valentine’s Day. However, with a 19 month old who has an arm like Tim Tebow and a 3 year old who is a crazy ballerina and three joyfully insane dogs I really didn’t want to put up anything glass or ceramic (although all of my other decor items are  glass or ceramic and have been fine, I didn’t want to have to worry). I went on the hunt for the perfect kid & dog friendly hearts. I searched high and low at every store imaginable. Finally I came across these sweet little paper maché heart boxes. There were $2.99 each, in my opinion that was pretty steep for them but I sucked it up and bought them anyway. I actually really like them because I don’t have to worry about them getting broken.

(sorry they are cell phone pics)

What do you think? Cute? How are you decorating for Valentine’s Day?

Only because I’m showing different holiday decor for the candlesticks and table, here was my fall decor:

Happy decorating!

  1. This is such a great idea, switching out the top embellishments to go with the season. Love your little hearts. THanks for sharing at our Link It Up Thursday party.

  2. Simple idea that packs a punch! I “liked” on facebook. I’m not sure how that works. I’ve avoided doing the Facebook ‘cuz I did the friend stuff, rss, google reader. Once one has “liked” on facebook will it notify me of new things on your page?
