Dollar Tree Pizza Pan Wreath
Transform a metal pizza pan from Dollar Tree into a colorful Back to School wreath door hanger with spray paint, paint markers and ribbon! This makes for a great teacher gift to welcome back the teachers!
Summer vacation is quickly coming to an end for some and the stores are loaded with school supplies. Get a head start on your back to school teacher gifts and home decor, to start the kids off to the best school year yet!
I recently traveled to Atlanta, GA for Haven; a conference for DIY bloggers and influencers. In my swag bag, I received a package of Color Shot paint markers.
My only experience with paint markers is from when I was little. My mom ALWAYS had the gold paint pens at our house and she would write our names and dates on everything…and still does. As a kid, I never appreciated it, but now as a mom myself, I am glad she did…so, mom, if you’re reading this – thanks!! Lesson learned! 🙂

Anyway, I was super excited to try out these paint pens, but I wanted to have some fun with them…so I asked a bunch of ladies who I met at Haven if they would want to do a craft challenge with me using our markers – the answer was a big yes!
Supplies
I love simple crafts that look cute but didn’t cost a ton to make. This is where Dollar Tree enters usually. They have so many great items that you can craft with that you probably never even thought about!…like a metal pizza pan! Yep, that’s right! I turned a metal pizza pan into a super cute door wreath!
Typically, when I make wreaths or crafts with lettering or designs, I use my Silhouette Cameo to create and cut the design and then I paint it on whatever I’m working on. However, I really wanted to make this a craft project that anyone could make, with no special tools or supplies.
All of the supplies needed for this Dollar Tree Pizza Pan Back to School wreath can all be purchased at your local big box stores. So no special purchases needed!

I created a quick video to show the process…unfortunately, I had some technical difficulties (aka somehow the camera didn’t record while I was drawing with the paint markers!) However, using paint markers is very easy…just shake before you paint! For new paint markers, you will need to shake and then depress on the felt tip, pushing it in, until the tip fills with paint.
