These Christmas Crinkle cookies are some of my daughter’s favorite cookies to bake. She has been baking with me ever since she was a baby. I would set her in a bouncy seat on the counter and she would hold the spoon while I baked my go-to chocolate chip cookies. Then as she got older, she helped put the ingredients in the bowl and would turn on the mixer…now she creates recipes on her own and runs the whole show!

We both love these simple cookies because they are easy to make but they turn out so pretty! These red velvet crinkle cookies are great for Christmas cookie swaps!

  1. Hi Stephanie….
I want to try these cookies both red velvet and chocolate.
Do I just use the oil amount listed on the cake box with 2 eggs? And temperature and time? I guess basically how do you do them?
I’m sorry I just want to make sure I’m doing them right.
    Thanks!

    1. Hi Nikki! Oh my goodness! I totally forgot to post the recipe! HAHA! yikes! Here it is…it’s the same for all “flavors”
1 box cake mix, 6 tbs melted butter or oil, 2 large eggs, 1/2c powdered sugar. Preheat oven to 375 F. Mix cake mix, butter or oil and eggs together. Shape into 1″ balls, toss and fully coat with powdered sugar. Place on baking sheet 2 inches apart and bake around 9 minutes or until the “cracking” has started. Take out and let cool. Enjoy!

  2. Thank you Stephanie!

Going to make these for a fun Christmas Eve activity with my 2 daughters.
