Pumpkin Protein Smoothie Shake

Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year! I love going to the grocery store and seeing all of the center isles and end caps filled with canned pumpkin! Ever since I was al little girl pumpkin pie was always the only pie I ever liked! But since I’m currently doing a 30 day healthy eating challenge (and making lots of protein smoothies!) I’m avoiding pumpkin pie and substituting it for PUMPKIN SMOOTHIES!! Yum!!

The Morning Challenge

I struggle eating healthy in the morning when we are rushing out the door trying to get to school on time. My kids go to a school where the bus system does not work in our favor so I have to drive them to and from school. Which is fantastic, more time with the little boogers, but at the same time it really makes things difficult because there is so much to do before we head out the door – and unfortunately I’m just not willing to wake up any earlier than I already do.

Suggestion From A Friend

My childhood friend introduced me to a plant-based, non-GMO protein powder with 16 grams of protein and 9 essential amino acids that is great for throwing into a mixer cup or a blender and whipping up a really quick and healthy breakfast. The protein powders come in different flavors and you can alter the protein smoothie shake with the different ingredients you want to throw in.

The Morning Change

Since having this healthy, high quality, non chemical laden protein powder, I’ve bene able to start making protein smoothie shakes in less than 2 minutes before we head out the door. The best part, no more missed breakfast! My kids love these smoothie shakes as well so it’s an extra win win! We also use this same protein powder to make protein balls for on the go!

I use Shaklee’s Life Shake protein – it has 24 grams of non GMO protein and is loaded with vitamins, omegas and prebiotics and probiotics! It also is low glycemic (meaning it doesn’t spike your blood sugar!) It’s also gluten and lactose free! It’s the only protein shake I trust.
