Valentine’s Day Mantel Decor
If you guys caught my DIY Felt Heart Garland you know that I’ve been busy decorating for Valentine’s Day!
I love making our home all cute and decked for every holiday. Growing up this was something my mom was so good at. Our house was always decorated for the according holiday. So of course I had to continue the tradition. My kids now play a huge role in helping get everything decorated, inside and out!

Earlier in the week I had received some super generous goodies from my good friends at LongHorn Steakhouse and knew right away that I would be repurposing the adorable red packing material!

Glass Hurricanes
I have two tall glass hurricanes that I bought at Kohls years ago that I use to decorate my fireplace mantel. I filled the hurricanes with the red basket grass and then used gold sparkled twigs that I had purchased from WalMart (around Christmas time).

Paper Hearts
I then made cutout paper hearts out of music note paper I had from Hobby Lobby. I used cute red and white Bakers Twine and tied it onto the hearts and then hung them on the twigs.
Felt Heart Garland
The felt heart garland on the mantel was bought from the dollar section at Target…but you can easily make your own following my 5 step tutorial! like this one below:
How do you decorate for Valentine’s Day? Do you go all out decorating? Or do you just opt for a bouquet of flowers and call it a day?
