Snowbird Mountain, Utah
Planning a ski trip to Utah? Check out one of Snowbird Mountain’s 144 ski trails and then enjoy the warmth of the resort.
I’ve never blogged about a place I personally haven’t traveled to myself, but I just couldn’t resist not sharing these pictures with you all.
My husband travels for work a decent bit – and to amazing places at that! This morning he just arrived home from Snowbird Mountain, Utah. We had hoped for me to be able to go along but we weren’t able to coordinate family coming from Chicago to North Carolina to watch our kids (*insert: “wahhhhhh!!!!”) So this trip I had to vicariously live through his photos, which he swears do no justice at all (just like our trip to Yosemite!)

Snowbird Mountain is an unincorporated community in Little Cottonwood Canyon in the Wasatch Range of the Rocky Mountains. It is only 36 miles from Salt Lake City, UT. My hubby stayed at the Ski Resort at Snowbird Lodge

This was the amazing view from his balcony!

Just look at how deep the snow is on either side of them walking down this path!!!

In January 2017 they already had 10 FEET of snow!! Yes, you read that correctly – JUST in January!

He had some extra time to himself so he hit the slopes and went snowboarding!

The rental process at Snowbird is really easy there! He has his own board and boots but it was easier not to fly across the country with them! 😉

Here he is at 11,000ft! Higher than the clouds!!

Notice how windy it was? See the snow blowing across the peaks?

Would you check out that CLIFF! Holy moly! Notice the clouds below?!?! Yikes!
Isn’t it just gorgeous?!? I’m bummed I didn’t get to go…but I did get some cleaning done that I’ve been putting off … HAHAHAHA!
