How To Paint Buffalo Plaid on Wood Hearts

In this tutorial I will teach you how to paint a buffalo plaid checkered design on wood hearts using a stencil and two different colors of paint.

If you happened to catch my pink plaid Valentine’s Day porch decor post, you saw the cute buffalo plaid hearts that I painted and adhered to a wreath I made for my front door. As promised, I said I would teach you how to paint buffalo plaid yourself!
The process is actually super easy, especially when you have a stencil. The hardest part is choosing which two colors you will use!

How to paint buffalo plaid step by step!
Step 1: Paint the entire wood heart in one color

Step 2: place the Dixie Belle buffalo plaid stencil on top of the wood heart

Step 3: Carefully paint color number two over the stencil

Step 4: Carefully lift the stencil off of the wood heart

Step 5: Allow the paint to fully dry
