Whether you’re prepping for a school bake sale, surprising your family, or just indulging your sweet tooth, these fudgy brownies are the perfect way to share the love!

Every year, I love making special treats for my family on Valentine’s Day, and these heart-shaped brownies have become a favorite. They’re simple, delicious, and add a little extra love to the day!
Ingredients
- Ghirardelli Chocolate Supreme boxed brownie mix
- water
- egg – for optimal mixing, use eggs at room temperature. If you’re short on time, place cold eggs in a bowl of warm water for a few minutes to bring them up to temperature quickly.
- vegetable oil
- chocolate syrup fudge – included in the Ghirardelli chocolate supreme boxed mix
- red, white and pink sprinkles – I used these Valentine’s Day themed sprinkles
Tools
- large mixing bowl
- measuring cups
- cookie sheet
- rubber spatula
Step-by-Step Instructions
- STEP 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix, egg, water, and vegetable oil, whisking until smooth. Do not include the chocolate syrup packet at this time
- STEP 2: Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup a breeze
- STEP 3: Pour batter onto the parchment paper and use a rubber spatula to evenly spread it across the surface
- STEP 4: Bake at 325°F for 20-25 minutes. For fudgier brownies, remove them at the 20-minute mark; for a firmer texture, bake closer to 25 minutes. Let them cool completely to room temperature before cutting to get clean, even heart shapes

- STEP 4: Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut the brownies into heart shapes
- STEP 5: Snip a small corner off the chocolate syrup packet and drizzle the syrup over each heart-shaped brownie, either in a decorative pattern or generously covering them for an extra dose of chocolaty goodness
- STEP 6: Sprinkle each brownie with red, white, and pink Valentine’s Day-themed sprinkles

I hope these heart-shaped Ghirardelli brownies add a little extra sweetness to your Valentine’s Day!
