48-Hour Flip Pilot Episode

You guys!!!!!! I’m beyond excited right now! One of my very favorite DIY networks reached out to me and asked me to film my very own episode for a new pilot program they are launching called 48-Hour Flip!

Can you even believe it? I mean, this is what dreams are made of!

After my excitement settled, and I recomposed myself, I responded, “YES!!! I would love the opportunity to create my own show!! How about I makeover my half-way dilapidated garage!?!?”

I pitched my idea and the producers at Hometalk loved it. So, one weekend in November, my husband and I got busy and completely transformed our desperate garage.

Before Photos of My Garage

I want to show you a sneak peek of my garage before! …but before I do, you have to promise me that we can still be friends after this! Remember, my house is an 1886 Victorian so…it needs a little love here and there (and here and there and here and there and here and there…lol!)

Look at this rotted wood siding. The garage for sure had seen better days!

Garage Makeover BEFORE

Paint all over the window panes and replacement mortar on the side of the concrete foundation. I mean… I’m not even sure who does this or how this happens? I mean, come on people! But this is what it has looked like since we singed our names on the dotted line 3 years ago.

Garage Makeover BEFORE

It was in sad, sad shape.

You’ll Never Believe The AFTER!

But thankfully with some imagination and sweat equity we were able to completely transform the look of our drabby garage to a fake high end garage in a 48 hour time span! … yes, we may have actually used almost all of those 48 hours! hahaha

Thanks to the help of some paint, this, this and this our garage has been receiving compliments left and right!

This has been such an incredible opportunity! I’d like to send a huge thank you to Hometalk for asking ME to be apart of this amazing program! I’ll be sharing over the next couple of weeks each of these projects one by one with the step by step tutorials!

Now… go watch my episode {pretty please!} and leave a comment telling me what you think!!

  2. Great makeover, Stephanie – I love the color you chose!

    1. Thank you so much, Ann!! Me too! It took us a loooooooot of deliberating to figure out what color to paint our house (which is the same color as the garage now) but I truly love it!

  3. Shelly Allmann says:

It was fun seeing the transformation in person and had no idea you were doing a 48 hour flip as I was surprised you were rushing in Fall instead of waiting for Spring. LOL. How cool! It looks great, as does your home. Looking forward to seeing more projects.

    1. haha! YES!!! I would so have rather of waited for Spring, but glad that (half..hahaha) of the garage is done!
