Guilt Free Iced Coffee
Lets get real for a second – who doesn’t like iced coffee? I mean seriously, even my kids like it! (wait what? I did not just admit that – I’m a great parent and only give my kids water and vegetable juice!) 🙂
But lets face the facts, iced coffee is filled with sugar and chemicals that really aren’t good for us. So what’s a coffee lover to do? Insert swapping all the sugar and gunk out for protein!! Yes, protein! Who woulda thunk? I’m telling you it’s a great alternative and you don’t have to feel guilty while drinking all of your delicious goodness on these hot days!
Not only is it delicious, it’s nutritious!! 16 grams of plant protein…

Heck, you’d have to eat almost 3 eggs just to get this amount! … and notice, 43% of the protein is in the yolk….how many of you hate the yolk and skip out on that part?!?!
Lets chat protein for a second. There’s soy and there’s non-GMO soy. What’s non-GMO soy you ask? GMO stand for Genetically Modified Organism. OK, so what? Well what that means is that the plant has been altered from it’s original state: at the gene level. So think of it this way…the soy plant that used to grow that would produce enough food for 1 person is now able to produce food for many more people. (Have you ever seen those pictures of genetically modified chickens? GAG!!

OK so if you’re concerned with being more healthy and not loading yourself with GMOs then you’ll appreciate the type of protein that I personally use for my whole family. It’s called Life Energizing Shake and comes in several different flavors (chocolate is my favorite and what I use in my Iced Coffee!)
I trust this brand because of all the extensive research it does to ensure safe products.
Anyway, lets get back to the delicious recipe that you were all drooling over. It’s so easy and quick to make that you can throw it right into a shaker cup and be on your merry way out the door to run 187293873947 daily errands!
- 8oz brewed coffee
- 2 scoops Life Energizing Protein: chocolate
- 4-6oz milk of choice
- Ice
- Brew coffee
- Add all ingredients into a blender cup, shake and serve!
Enjoy!!

I’m not a coffee drinker, but my husband is. Maybe I could sneak some protein in and he wouldn’t notice 🙂
