My hubby and I met for lunch recently and ate at a pretty fancy restaurant. The restaurant was actually promoting a couple of dishes from a new restaurant that is planned to be opening up across the street in the near future. One of the dishes was a salad that had a creamy dijon vinaigrette salad dressing. I ordered it and it was beyond good. Like beyond! I literally almost licked the bowl clean ;-p

So that night for dinner I craved more of that salad and decided to make a salad and try to mimic the creamy dijon vinagarette salad dressing.
I didn’t quite master the exact taste of the restaurants salad dressing, but it was super delicious and a make again!
- 3 tbs red wine vinegar
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tbs mayonnaise
- salt and pepper to taste
- Mix all ingredients together in a mason jar and shake to incorporate
- Chill until ready to serve
