Repurpose Old Sweaters Into Throw Pillows
Before you donate your old sweaters, repurpose them into decorative throw pillows! Here’s how to make a sweater pillow with batting!
I absolutely love throw pillows – except I hate the expensive price tag that usually comes along with them. I never can justify spending the money on them when I know the next season or holiday I will want new ones. So instead, I always make my own! I had just cleaned out my closet and pulled out a bunch of sweaters and shirts that no longer fit so rather than donating them (well a few at least) I turned them into pillows that I was able to use as decoration props for holiday photo sessions I did for friends.

Supplies Needed:
Old sweaters

Stuff with either polyfil or a pillow form.

Once the pillow is stuffed to your desired size, cut off the excess top part (neck, sleeves, etc) of the sweater
Now it’s time to make the decorative flowers!

Apply hot glue and start rolling

Roll & twist and add glue along the way
Add a safety pin and attach it to the pillow

Aren’t they beautiful?!? I’m so excited about them!

I used them as photo props for holiday photo sessions that I did for friends! — beats buying expensive holiday pillows at the store!
