The Best Caramel Popcorn Balls

October is National Popcorn Poppin’ Month! Celebrate by making these delicious caramel popcorn balls with mini chocolate chips! Sweet fall treats with a fun twist on the traditional caramel popcorn ball recipe!

When I was challenged to create a fall popcorn recipe I knew I had to blend all of my favorite aspects of fall…apples, caramel and chocolate! I created Popcorn Caramel Balls which not only look adorable but taste amazing!!

Popcorn Caramel Balls

If you would prefer to make a regular caramel popcorn ball recipe, omit the caramel drizzle and mini chocolate chip toppings.

Great fall treat!
Ingredients
  • Popped popcorn
  • 6T butter
  • 3c marshmallows
  • Caramel Dip
  • Mini Chocolate Chips
  • Pecan chipped pieces (optional)
  • Popsicle sticks
  • Candy spearmint leaves for decor (optional)
Instructions
  1. Pop popcorn according to instructions
  2. In a saucepan heat butter and marshmallows until liquified
  3. Pour over popcorn and mix
  4. Using your hands form popcorn balls pressing the popcorn together tightly
  5. Insert popsicle sticks
  6. Drizzle with warmed caramel dip
  7. sprinkle on chocolate chips and pecan pieces

  1. I’m totally going to be making these! I just am curious how do you store these? Should I make them the night before party or day of and just keep them out in the open? THis is such a great idea and are cute!

    1. I would keep them in the refrigerator if you make them in advance!
