I’m sure I’m not alone when I say I feel helpless watching the Ukrainian people fight for their lives. I can’t even wrap my brain around what is happening – my heart just hurts.
In the very simplest of ways to show my support, I made this heart wreath for my door. I hope it serves as a reminder to those of us in America how very lucky and blessed we are.

Supplies Needed
- cardboard box
- yellow artificial flowers
- blue artificial flowers
- box cutter
- scissors
- hot glue gun & sticks
- floral wire

Let’s Make It Together!
I went to my local Dollar Tree and browsed their artificial flower section.

I picked out several bunches of yellow and blue flowers that I liked best.

Next I took a large cardboard box and drew a heart on it with a pencil.

I cut out the heart using a box cutter.

Using scissors, I cut the flowers off of their stems.

Pipe hot glue onto the flower head

and place onto the cardboard cutout

I agree. What a great idea. I have cardboard and will purchase flowers in yellow and blue to make a wreath for my front door.
That’s great, Deborah! Hope it turns out great!
