10 Organic Candy Options for Halloween
Grocery shopping with kids can be the pits. To top it off there is an entire isle designated to candy at the grocery stores these days luring kids (and adults) in to indulge in a good old sweet treat. My kids and I all have a big sweet tooth so honestly I try to avoid this isle because will power is not my strong suit. So although we bypass the candy isle we are bombarded with candy in the checkout isle! This is where things get super tricky. You’re waiting there in line to check out and have to deal with anxious kids. I’ll admit, most of the time I cave and let the kids pick out some junky candy that is not only loaded with sugar, but also with dyes, preservatives and artificial ingredients.
Fortunately my kids do not have any known issues with dyes or anything but I am always cringing while they eat the checkout isle candy and feel guilty later (unless it’s a Snickers or Kit Kat, lol – because I’m digging in then too!). So, with Halloween coming up I wanted to find some organic alternatives to the classic candy options. Here’s what I found!
