Christmas Tree, Mantel & Stockings
Inspiration for decorating your mantle with Christmas decor and red and white stockings.
I love looking at photos of others Christmas trees and mantels. They give me such inspiration! I have a very simple taste – yet a bit more traditional at the same time. Red, Green, White, Gold. The end. I’m all about decorating for the holidays (my friends and family can attest) but I don’t totally get into the “themes of the moment”. i.e.: right now red trucks, buffalo plaid, burlap and everything farmhouse are super hot. Well…. don’t get me wrong, they are SUPER cute and all but I like my tried and true old decorations that I’ve used for years. They just simply make me happy. And lets face it – if we have to change out our holiday decor every couple of years that’s such an accumulation of junk in my mind. (p.s. I’ve been working really hard on decluttering lately, so maybe that’s why I feel that way, lol!)
I made my own wooden signs using my Silhouette Cameo and shared about them HERE!
*Stockings = HERE!
*Light Garland = HERE!
*Glass Globes = Kohls
*Ornaments in Globes = Walmart
*Basket = Crate & Barrel
*Blanket = Walmart
*Red Berry Garland Tree = Kohls
*Signs = made by ME!!
*Christmas Tree = Fraiser Fir that we cut down from Cartner’s Tree Farm in the NC mountains Cartner’s Choose ‘n Cut Trees
*Tree Ornaments = (decorated by my kids) collected from all over the country + more and/or handmade with love over the years…I’m not one to have a beautifully themed tree. Ornaments are the only thing that my husband and I “collect” – I seriously love decorating the tree and remembering all of the wonderful places we have been 🙂

Again, I’m simple and just love traditional, classic Christmas decor. That’s why many moons ago my hubby and I got married 8 days before Christmas…
…and would you look at that! The door on the church is very farmhouse looking! ha! Apparently I’ve been in style for years!

Stephanie,
What a lovely home you have. I love your festive style and your gorgeous Christmas tree! Such a beautiful way to celebrate Christmas.
Thanks for sharing your wedding pictures, too. That was REALLY fun. You were a pretty b ride. (Even with farmhouse style, then!)
I love your traditional Christmas room, is so cozy and pretty. And a Christmas wedding! How perfect. I attended one December wedding and it was so much more festive than any wedding I’ve been too, there’s just something about this season that is so special.
So cute! Your wedding dress was fantastic, I loved the red train!
Your space turned out great!
Very pretty – I love your tree ❤ Hope you have a very merry christmas (and happy anniversary!)
Your tree is so pretty! Love the wedding pictures, so sweet!
