Poached Apples with Sweetened Ricotta On Toast

Enjoy these delicious Poached Apples and Sweetened Ricotta on Toast recipe with soft apples, creamy ricotta, and crunchy toast. Perfect for an easy breakfast or a sweet snack!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 c granulated sugar
  • 2 c water or more to cover the top of the apples
  • 1/2 c ricotta cheese
  • 2 tbs honey
  • 2 slices toast

Instructions
 

  • Poach your favorite type of apple in a pot with sugar and water. Be sure to check out my  Step-By-Step Guide to Poaching Apples to get the perfect texture!
  • While the apples are cooking, combine ricotta cheese and honey in a medium sized bowl. Stir until combined and then refrigerate until ready to use.
  • Toast your favorite type of bread in the toaster to your preferred doneness. 
  • Liberally spread the ricotta cheese on the toast, and then layer with poached apples. Spread more ricotta cheese on top of the apples and sprinkle with ground cinnamon.
