About

IMG_8291Hi there! My name is Stephanie and I am unorganized, totally spontaneous, fun, lovable, did I mention unorganized? stay at home mom to two wonderful, beautiful, brilliant (OK OK I know, enough already!! but it’s true! Just ask their Grandma, she’ll tell you!) children, plus baby #3 on the way, 2 dogs, and an out of this world husband! Together we function beautifully in our unorganized chaotic household!

Many of my posts are about food. Why? Because since being a stay at home mom I have a new found love for cooking. I like to try out new recipes but tend to forget them a week later. So in hopes to remember what the heck I made last week I’ll be posting it here! Please feel free to give suggestions, tips, or even ideas of things you’d like to try! Unless otherwise stated the recipes are created by me.

Before my whole love of cooking happened, I was an avid crafter and DIYer. So there will be a lot of creative posts as well!

In my past life I was a Recreational Therapist. It was my dream job! College courses were the best and working in the field was the greatest reward ever, until…my sweet babies were born. Now I seem to have that classic mom syndrome (or maybe that doesn’t even exist…maybe it’s just me, so we’ll call it Early Onset Alzheimers!!!…I swear I got it by osmosis from my working years with patients!!) where I don’t remember a thing about what I used to do. It’s tough enough making it through the day making sure everyone is fed, bathed, clean, and gone to gymnastics class! :-)

We have been transferred for my husband’s job several times now. In 5.5 years we have bought 3 houses in 3 different states. We filled those houses with our own DIY projects and sold them on the first & 8th showings!! Not too shabby if I do say so myself!

This blog is here to help me keep track of my life! and hopefully add a little spice to yours!

I’d love for you to FOLLOW ME!!

I followed you here from the She Cooks, He Eats blog!

What a fantastic idea, to use your blog as a way to stay organized, especially in order to keep track of your recipes. I am so impressed you make things up that you cook. I’m one of those that has to use a cookbook. But I haven’t been in the kitchen very long…..maybe in time. I too have discovered a passion for cooking– since I got married anyway. How long have you been doing your blog? I could go back and check but then I’d lose this message! Your pictures are great. Thanks for telling us about your camera and editing program. That’s usually my first question—-what kind of camera do you use. So many people use their I-phone. Wow! They take such good pictures. Who knew a phone could do that? I’m not there yet. My phone takes pictures…..I think!
