These heart-shaped pancakes are an easy way to make breakfast feel special for Valentine’s Day or any fun morning at home. Made from scratch and cooked using a simple metal cookie cutter, they turn a classic pancake recipe into a cute, festive surprise with very little extra effort.
Set a metal heart-shaped cookie cutter in the pan, making sure it sits flat against the surface.
Spray the cookie cutter
Spray the inside of the cookie cutter well with cooking spray to prevent the pancake from sticking.
Fill the cookie cutter with batter
Spoon pancake batter into the center of the cookie cutter, filling it about three-quarters full. Gently spread the batter into the edges of the heart shape if needed.
Cook until bubbles form
Let the pancake cook until bubbles begin to form on the surface and the edges look set.
Remove the cookie cutter and flip
Carefully lift the cookie cutter straight up, then flip the pancake and cook the second side until golden brown.
Repeat and serve
Repeat with remaining batter, re-spraying the cookie cutter as needed. Serve the heart-shaped pancakes warm with your favorite toppings.
