1 c whole milk 1 c whipping cream 1 c goat cheese, soft & crumbled (about 5oz) 1 garlic clove, minced 1 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp ground black pepper 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg 2 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled & thinly sliced
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
Peel potatoes
Thinly slice potatoes either by hand or in food processor with disc attachment
In a large bowl combine the remaining ingredients
Place a single layer of sliced potatoes in a 9x12 casserole dish
Ladle milk mixture over potatoes, enough to cover them
Repeat layering and ladling process until all of the potatoes and milk mixture have been used
Bake at 400 degrees F for 1 hour 15 minutes
Remove from oven and let rest for 15-20 minutes
