MY DISCLOSURE POLICY

Affiliate Links Disclosure and Privacy Policy:

Your privacy and safety is of the utmost importance to me while you are visiting my site. Laws and regulations have changed over the years and I like to be transparent about everything I do on my blog. When you are visiting my site, just as in any other site, cookies are collected. What’s a cookie you ask? A cookie is a little piece of data that comes from a website you visit and it stores on your device for a short period of time to give you better and faster browsing. For example, have you ever visited a site and added something to the online shopping cart but then left the page/site before you purchased the items? You later came back to that page/site and the items still showed in your cart, allowing for an easier user experience because you didn’t have to load each item back into your cart. Make sense?

I use certain programs such as Google Analytics to help me know what blog posts my readers like and dislike (crazy! I can’t even imagine people not liking my content…hahaha! ;-p ) Those little data trackers just tell me which projects, recipes, etc, people in general visit …. don’t worry! I can’t find out any of your personal information.

Emails – for my emails or free downloads, etc, I use a program called Mad Mimi to send out my emails. When you sign up to be apart of my email list or grab a freebie, etc, I just get your email address that is stored in my Mad Mimi account so I can send you the info you wanted. Again, your email is safe – I vow to never give it out! I seriously cannot stand all the spam email I get in my own inbox every day…and I’m sure you feel the same! So we’re cool on that account!

Affiliates – On my ol’ blog, if you’ve been a reader for some time, you know that I only share ideas, projects, recipes, etc that I come up with on my own. I never push, promote products or projects that I don’t personally use or love or didn’t create myself. I take a huge amount of pride in Gathered In The Kitchen and want my readers to know and feel that I’m authentic and not doing this to make a buck (because believe me, I’ve done everything (and I repeat EVERYTHING) wrong or opposite of what you do to make money blogging…just ask my hubby, he’ll tell you how much money I spend just to do this ol’ hobby of mine!) But with that said, I do from time to time share products that I personally use myself. I then share them with you with easy buying links (like on Amazon…because who doesn’t shop from Amazon these days?!?!) If you happen to purchase something after clicking my link (ie: if you click on one of my Amazon links and purchase within a 24 hour time frame (those little cookie data pieces are for a short time, see!) I will make a very small commission, at no extra cost to you! ….believe me, I’m not getting rich, my highest “paycheck” was for $12 (p.s. a paycheck is for an entire month) – thank goodness my hubby has a real job and can support my blogging habits!

If you have any questions, feel free to comment on a blog post and I’ll get back to you asap!
