Ingredients

all-purpose flour

salt
–
sugar
–
butter
–
shortening
–
ice water
Supplies
– mixing bowl
– measuring spoons
– rolling pin
Step 1:
Place 2 c all-purpose flour in a bowl
Step 2:
Add 1 tsp salt
Step 3:
Add 1/4 tsp sugar
Step 4:
Slice 1 1/2 sticks of butter into 1/2″ slices
Add to flour mixture
Step 5:
Add 4 Tbs chilled shortening
Step 6:
Start chilling a glass full of water with ice and set aside (you won’t use the ice)
Step 7:
Form into a ball.
Wrap in plastic wrap and chill until ready to roll out and use.
Step 8:
When ready to use, roll out on a lightly floured surface
