What is a galette?

A galette is essentially a type of pie crust that is formed without using a pie dish.

Let me show you how to make one!


-all-purpose flour -corn meal -salt  -butter -egg yolk -iced waterr -egg

Supplies Needed

-food processor -rolling pin -baking sheet -plastic wrap -parchment paper

Step 1:

Make the dough, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour

Step 2:

Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface to 1/8" - 1/4" thick

Step 3:

Fill with pie filling

Step 4:

Fold up edges of galette crust in a pleated pattern

Step 5:

Refrigerate again to chill, then bake in a hot oven
