Getting kids to eat healthy is a chore in itself…so when you find a recipe that is healthy and everyone likes it, it becomes a keeper! I wrote a post last week about a breakfast smoothie creation that we came up with that my kids (and I) FINALLY liked! Since then, we’ve made approximately 1,397 smoothies 🙂
I’ve edited the original recipe and wanted to share it with you…because it makes it taste just like a strawberry milkshake **which is great if you are trying to sneak in veggies and fruits to your kids!!** It works great as a healthy dessert option as well!!

What You Need:
Yogurt with Probiotics (the one I used was purchased from Aldi)
Protein Powder (I have since switched to this protein powder because it’s loaded with pre and probiotics, is non-geo and has no preservatives or artificial anything and comes in soy & non-soy options)
The process remains the same, just the ingredient amounts have changed.
In a blender, add all of your ingredients and blend til smooth. I use my single serve option on my Ninja Blender…which I love!
- 15 frozen strawberries
- 1 handful of kale (optional)
- 1 scoop vanilla Protein Powder
- 1 container of strawberry probiotic yogurt or ½c of vanilla yogurt
- 3oz of milk (plus more if the shake is too thick)
- Place all ingredients into blender
- Blend until smooth (adding more milk if needed)
- Serve cold
Serve in cute little cups with straws and let the kids drink as much as they want!!
